Acuity Counseling Therapist Bio
Julia “Jules” Williams, MA, LMHCA
Individual, Adolescent and Family Therapist
Jules believes in the transformative power of trust within the therapeutic relationship for healing and growth. She holds in high regard the personal process of choosing a therapist who fits all of your needs.
Individuals (Teens & Adults)
Are you struggling with life and feeling alone? Wouldn’t it be great to have someone who really knew you, and could help you figure out how to make things better? Julia shares compassion, kindness, and strength with her clients and creates a comfortable environment for insight, and personal growth. Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Family Systems Therapy you can start to feel relief of your stresses within just a few sessions.
Julia shares compassion, kindness, and strength with her clients and utilizes evidence-based practices to assist you with the traumas you have experienced. Julia is trained in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Stress Inoculation Therapy which help to acknowledge, adjust, replace, and relieve the negative and unwanted physical and emotional responses to your environment. By decreasing the intrusive internal conflicts that are present due to trauma and its complexities, you will be more able to enjoy life.
Relationships are hard. And when things get rough you need a therapist who doesn’t take sides to help you and your partner move past all the pain and hurts to the connection you have always wanted. Julia is trained in Gottman Method Couples Counseling which gives couples the communication skills they need to have the hard conversations, and achieve the closeness you are wishing for.
