Shea Robinson, MA, LMHCA
Individual, Couples and Child Therapist
Shea’s work with others is based on the belief that each person is the expert in their own life. All of us at times need someone to walk alongside us, and as a counselor who takes a collaborative approach, Shea will work with you to increase your self-awareness and understanding of your current challenges so that you can live in a more authentic, balanced way.
Individuals
All of us at times experience life to be unmanageable. Whether you’re struggling with life changes, difficult emotions, or doubts about yourself and your ability to live your life fully and authentically, Shea will assist you in exploring and uncovering the blocks to your forward motion and the “whys” behind your current feelings and behaviors. Creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can bring your whole person to the table, Shea will explore your current understanding of your struggles with you and how this connects to the over-arching story of your life to come up with alternative ways of viewing yourself and the world, and forming solutions that align with your values and hopes for the future.
Adolescents and Young Adults
The challenges and tasks facing youth and young adults are unique, and Shea has an extensive background working with this population through life changes and challenges. Whether you’re struggling with issues around your own identity, traumatic experiences, or anxiety and depression, Shea creates a safe and supportive space for you to work through the things that are troubling you and get to a place where you feel you can manage them more confidently.
How I can Help
Shea values each individual’s counseling wants and needs as unique, and as such believes in taking a personalized approach. Given this, Shea utilizes an integrative approach that incorporates elements of Existential, Person-Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral aspects to address presenting issues and explore and build upon your own personal experience.
