Rachel Frank, MA, LMHC
Individual and Family Therapist
Rachel has a passion for working with young people, both in the teen years and in early adulthood. These stages of life present unique challenges where it especially important to be truly seen and heard and Rachel strives to do just that. She puts a strong emphasis on joining in with you in the journey of therapy to promote the greatest growth and change.
Counseling for Teens
Does anxiety or anger have a hold on you? Is lack of self-esteem and self-confidence feeding into feeling depressed or not good enough? Are you struggling with making friends or even dealing with bullying at school? Rachel can help you navigate these difficult challenges to enhance your understanding and awareness of what’s bothering you and help you develop new problem solving skills that foster personal strength and growth.
Supporting Parents
Raising children is filled with adventures and parenting is difficult. Rigid thinking, traumatic events, emotional volatility, conflict, behavioral problems and academic challenges all add stress and disconnect. Rachel can help parents navigate these, and other struggles with teens and support you in building a stronger, more communicative relationship with your child.
Working with Individual Adults
Everyone has a story to tell and Rachel wants to know your story to allow you to feel understood in a way you may never had before. Hiding yourself or feeling that you won’t be accepted often leads to feelings of sadness, depression, worry and anxiety that prevents you from living a genuine life. Rachel holds therapy as a safe space to explore your own narrative, and open up about parts of your story that’ve never shared before.
How I Can Help
Rachel brings years of experience and her blended theoretical perspective of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness & Narrative Therapy to help you reach your goals for therapy. She especially enjoys helping those who are a part of the LGBTQ communities. Rachel is dually licensed in WA & OR as a mental health Counselor and recognized as a National Certified Counselor by the NBCC.
