Daley Ruthven, MA, LMHC
Individual Adult & Teen Therapist
Daley enjoys interacting with clients who are courageous enough to seek counseling and is passionate about providing an authentic, compassionate foundation to allow clients to get the help they need. Systemic, cultural, or societal expectations might leave you with your head spinning, and Daley welcomes the opportunity to help you investigate ways in which you might control your own destiny.
Teen and Adolescent Counseling
During her graduate program at Antioch University Seattle, Daley focused on serving two communities: teens and survivors of intimate partner violence. Daley is honored to witness the distractions and struggles that teens face as a result of peer-tension, school expectations, and family dynamics. She enjoys the role of therapist due to the positive impact she can provide through being an adult who simply gets it. Teens will find that Daley has a natural, open curiosity that inspires trust and connection.
Working with Individual Adults
Daley intentionally provides an authentic, non-judgmental setting for clients to tell their stories. A client-centered, strength-based focus will help you to feel safe and empowered. Daley also utilizes humor and creativity in session to help you get the most out of therapy. If you’re struggling with substance use, addiction or needing extra support through recovery, Daley has additional training and expertise to help you find the life without substances you always wanted. Together you will set short- and long-term goals that allow you to see your own growth and progress.
How I Can Help
Daley is committed to working from an anti-oppression lens, meaning that Daley sees and acknowledges your unique identity and recognizes the impact society has on your daily well-being. Your individuality and diversity will be embraced in this safe relationship with Daley as your therapist. Daley has several years’ experience working with individuals from all walks of life; no matter your cultural, spiritual, gender or sexual identity, she looks forward to co-creating a meaningful and conscientious connection with you.
